Learning About The History and Future of Education

Hi there, my name is Monique Willis. Welcome. I am here to talk to you about the history and future of education. The early schoolhouses introduced students to an educational journey unlike anything they have ever known. Most kids would learn the family trade and little else in those days. With school, they could learn information outside their families’ wheelhouse to pick up a new trade or simply expand their knowledgebase. On this site, I will talk about the way education has evolved and will continue to change through the years. Plan to visit my site on a regular basis to learn more. Thanks for visiting.

Ready For A New Career? How To Prepare For Your Medical Office Administration Course

Corey Craig

If you're not happy with your current job and you're ready to move up the career ladder, it's time to enroll in a medical office administration course. A medical office administration course will provide you with the training you need to run a medical practice. One of the benefits of a career in medical office administration is that it allows you to work in the medical field without the hands-on requirements of a medical assistant. Not only that, but it gives you management authority within the office. Here are four tips that will help you prepare for a medical office administration course.

Spend Some Time in a Medical Office

If you haven't worked in the medical field, spend some time in a medical office before you enroll in a program. Shadowing someone who's already working as a medical office administrator will allow you to get a feel for what's required of the position. If possible, arrange to come in several times so that you can experience varying situations within the office.

Make Arrangements with Your Employer

If you're currently working as a medical assistant, make arrangements with your employer. They may be able to hold a position open for you that will allow you to begin working as an administrator as soon as you complete your program. One of the benefits of remaining with your current employer is that you won't lose your seniority within the office. Not only that, but because you already know the staff, you'll have a solid foundation for a good working relationship.

Find a Program That Suits Your Needs

Now that you've decided to enroll in a medical office administration course, find a program that suits your needs. Courses are available online, and through local vocational programs. If you're already working at a full-time job, an online program will provide you with the flexibility you need to successfully juggle work and education. However, if you're not currently working or your current job provides you with a flexible schedule, enrolling in a local vocational program may provide you with the in-class structure that you want.

Get Your Professional Resume in Order

Once you enroll in a medical office administration program, you'll want to get your professional resume in order. Your resume should reflect the work that you're doing for your educational program. As soon as your resume is updated, begin submitting it to medical offices in the area. Submitting your resume early can help you secure employment prior to completing your program.
